How much does carpet cleaning cost?
Rooms are £40 each, a staircase £40, a hallway £20 and a landing £20, and the minimum visit is £80. Your exact price is fixed up front, locked for 14 days, and you pay after the clean.
What if the stains don't come out?
Some old, set-in stains are permanent. We tell you which before we start, and if we say a stain will come out and it doesn't, we come back and re-clean it free under our 14-day guarantee.
How long do carpets take to dry?
Walk on your carpets in 30–90 minutes and use the room the same day. Wool and thicker piles take a little longer.
How often should I get my carpets professionally cleaned?
Book professional carpet cleaning every 12–18 months for a typical home, or every 6–9 months with pets or young children. Busy areas like stairs and hallways may need it more often.
Is professional carpet cleaning worth it?
Yes. Rented and home machines run cooler with weaker suction and leave moisture and soil behind, while our commercial-grade system cleans hotter and pulls far more of the water back out, so carpets stay clean for months longer. As one customer put it: "Definitely worth it rather than trying rug doctor."
Do I need to move furniture before you arrive?
No, that's our job. We move the furniture as standard and put it back after; only the biggest pieces, like wardrobes, full bookcases and beds, stay where they are. A quick vacuum beforehand helps but isn't needed.
Will my carpet shrink?
No. Professional carpet cleaning uses low-moisture extraction: we test a hidden patch first and match the method to the fibre (wool, synthetic, berber, loop or cut pile). And if anything's not right, we re-clean free.
What's included in the price?
Everything: a full steam clean (hot water extraction), stain & spot treatment, free deodorising and 99.9% sanitisation. One fixed price covers it all.
Will carpet cleaning remove stains, pet urine, and odours?
Most come out, including food, drink, mud and pet accidents. Pet urine gets an enzyme treatment that breaks down the crystals holding the smell, so the odour goes with the stain.
Is carpet cleaning safe for children, pets, and allergy sufferers?
Yes. We use professional solutions to the manufacturer's instructions and rinse them back out, so the carpet is safe for children, pets and sensitive skin once it is dry.
What's the difference between steam cleaning and dry cleaning carpets?
Steam cleaning (hot water extraction) pushes hot water deep into the fibres, then pulls it back out with the dirt. Dry cleaning uses chemical solvents with very little moisture. Hot water extraction cleans far deeper and is the method most carpet makers recommend.
How soon can you fit me in?
Usually within the same week, and most carpet cleaning visits take 2–3 hours. We work Monday to Saturday.
Do I need to be home during the clean?
Not necessarily. Many customers leave a key or lockbox for our carpet cleaners, and we send before and after photos so you can see the results.
Is steam cleaning better than shampooing a carpet?
Yes. Shampooing scrubs foam into the pile and leaves a sticky residue that attracts new dirt, which is why we don't use it. Hot water extraction rinses the fibres and pulls the dirt back out.
